Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025)
First off I'm a fan of the series, and say what you want about the series it does push the limits of improbability, but then it is mission IMPOSSIBLE! The latest film is a love letter to the series then & now. It is also a film which has several stunt set pieces that seem to be the films highlight, and I have no problem with that. In the latest episode it is a part 2 and finally of the series. It seems a rogue AI is out to destroy the world and there many people & organizations vying for control of the AI for their own nefarious reasons. It falls on Ethan Hunt ( Tom Cruise ) to make sure that the AI does not succeed, and how he does this is by tricking it that he works for it. To say the script has a few high hurdles to achieve is an understatement. Some succeed while others seem to fall flat, but if taken for what the film is and that's pure entertainment it does work.
